10時ころ、なにげに見上げた夜空に何時もより多くの星が見えるのに気が付きました。
テラスですぐ使えるように置いてある20倍の古い双眼鏡でのぞくと
見慣れた天体も初めて見るような姿を見せてくれました。
10分後くらいでしょうか、目が慣れてくると裸眼で昴を5個まで
数える事ができました。
自分は視力が左0.05、右0.6で、新月でも昴はもやっと見えるだけです。
しかし今日は裸眼で初めて星に分離でき、双眼鏡では20以上を数えました。
まだ月は低くしょぼい双眼鏡でも天頂付近のアンドロメダが初めての明るさで見えました。
天体望遠鏡を出すまでもなく時間も寒さも忘れ12時まで
小さな双眼鏡で夜空を眺めて飽きませんでした。
降雨も少なく、海に囲まれているため夜の温度低下が内陸部より小さい篠島は
隠れ天体観測スポットかもしれません。
天体望遠鏡を備えてから試験的に何度かお客さまにも見ていただきました。
「お〜」とか「すごい〜」とか予想以上に好評です。
80ミリの屈折で天頂付近を見るのはかなり窮屈ですが
明日、250ミリの反射望遠鏡が届きます。
さらに深い空をお楽しみいただけると確信しています。
新着の250ミリ反射望遠鏡（ドブソニアン）は目盛環を付け
iPad、iPhoneの星座アプリを使っての導入に挑戦したいと思っています。
メカ頼みの自動導入という手もありますが、☆を観る楽しさが半減するような気がします。
架台の水平出し機構や鏡筒へのデジタル分度器の取り付けを予定しています。
250ミリはまだデビューまで少し時間がかかります。
お客さまと天体探しに挑戦し、篠島の夜空が旅の思い出に加われば、と企んでいます。
