お百姓さんは偉大だ
南風も小さな菜園をやっています。
猫の額というと猫に気が引けるほどの小ささですが
それでも少し目を離すと雑草や虫に苦しめられます。
広く良く手入れされた畑や田は見ているだけで感動ものです。
何気なく訪れた鳳来寺の棚田を見上げた時、その美しさに圧倒されました。
これが人の知恵と筋肉だけで作られ、守られて来たと思ったら涙が出て来ました。
話しがそれました。
今日は同じ町内の花ひろばさんへ行ってきました。
お泊りのお客さまから何度かいちご狩りの問い合わせをいただいたことから
一度見てみたいと思い立ち見学させていただきました。
フェースブックの伝だけでアポもとらず突然の訪問でしたが快く迎えていただきました。
さっそくハウスに案内していただきました。
一歩入った瞬間に、甘いいちごの香りに酔いそうでした。

しばらく話しをうかがってすすめられた一粒のいちご・・・ショックでした。
「今まで食べていたいちごは、なんだったんだ？」という甘さでした。
ご主人と奥様との話しの中で「満足していただきたい」
「楽しいんでいただきたい」こんな言葉が何度も出てきました。
初対面にもかかわらず旧知のように楽しく話しを聞かせていただけたのは
島の漁師が異口同音に「篠島のタコは明石のタコより美味い」とか
「ここのシラスは日本一」とか自慢します・・実際美味いのですが
自信は持っていても、不器用でセールストークのような混じりっ気なく
たくさんの人に喜んでもらいたいという純粋な漁師との共通点をお二人のお話から
感じたからかもしれません。
お子さま連れのご家族にはおすすめです。
この年までイチゴの本当の美味しさを知らなかったなんて不幸です。
リピーターのお客さまも多く、すべてのお客さまのご予約が受けられず
心苦しいと言っておられました、早めのご予約が必要です。
いちご狩りの他にも一年を通じて花や野菜狩りも楽しめます。
いちご狩りハウスなどは入れませんがペット連れでも楽しめるスペースもあります。
春の出番を待つ花でしょうか。
